Daddy's Race Day!

Daddy did his half marathon today with a buddy of ours, Mr. Caleb! They did awesome and we were able to see them at a couple different points throughout the race! What a fun morning, capped off by brunch with our friends Emma & Will and their parents at a fantastic restaurant! Here are some pictures from the morning:

easter came early!

We did a little pre-Easter baking this week - and made easter cookies! Here's our progress and yummy results! (the cookie recipe is the best one I've tried - maybe I'll share! :-)

snow???

Well, our perfect weather spring break has turned on us! We had 65 degree sunny weather this past week and enjoyed the park, the playground and the beach (albeit a little cold for the last one!) Then, this morning we woke up to THIS! Snow and cold! Such is life in Michigan in the spring - tomorrow it could very well be 60 again! Go figure.

We didn't come packed for this kinda weather so our snow attire leaves much to be desired. (I should know better - pack for two seasons in the spring and fall) Gramps dressed us for our excursion (which is why we're still in our PJ's!)

Meijer Gardens

We are in MI for spring break visiting Grammy & Gramps and took advantage of the beautiful spring weather to get out to Meijer Gardens and enjoy the butterflies and the park! We're hoping to take a picnic lunch to the park tomorrow, providing the weather stays as nice as it was this afternoon! Enjoy some pictures:

I finally got pictures off my camera (one of them - still need to do the other)... but here is a re-cap of the last month or so!

Our best friend Will is such a sport! (and looks too good in a dress!!) He's used to his big sister dressing him up - Taylor had no problem filling those shoes! :-)

This week we had a couple days of great snow (which has since melted) but not before we got some good sledding in! (notice - its dark!) Daddy and Mr. Caleb took us sledding and then out for dinner!

I'm a Bad Blogger!

Sorry for my absence! I've been extremely busy these days - and if I look back at what I've been doing... I can't even tell you! (I feel like I'm spinning my wheels these days!) Anyway, here are a couple pictures that I've gotten off the camera of Taylor - playing with Play Dough. (The rest of my pictures haven't made it off the camera lately!) I'll be better about posting pictures - I promise!! :-)

Eric & Taylor visited the zoo yesterday while Mommy was home in bed! I was glad to give them a daddy/daughter day! They had a great time and got to see some up close animals on a very uncrowded day!
